About the project

Introduction to the project

UC Limburg in Belgium, University of Oslo in Norway, Aarhus Municipality and Aarhus University in Denmark are working together on the project Growth4SMEs (GRaduate Ongoing Workqualification Towards offering Highly qualified skills for SMEs).

Within the project we will create a digital platform that will collect input from SMEs about their skill shortage and subsequently design an education set-up so that unemployed obtain the sought after skills. For that purpose, we will set up a joint online course aiming at an international audience and specific regional courses to help the young graduates to meet the demands of a constantly changing labor market. Furthermore, there will be arranged case-competitions to allow SMEs to hand in challenges so that the graduates can show how their newly acquired skills can present innovative solutions to business problems.

The project is funded by ERASMUS+

Continuous results of the project

Growht4SME has been in contact with more than 400 SMEs from Norway, Denmark and Belgium and asked them what kind of skills they need right now - Skill demand (growth4sme.eu) . Based on this new knowledge about the skill the project has developed an education set-up with different digital courses both for an international and regional audience - Knowledge (growth4sme.eu). The courses have been used during the eight case-competions that have been carried out in Belgium, Norway, and Denmark where SMEs have been challenges to the case-competition participants and received innovative solutions to their business problems - News (growth4sme.eu). Furthermore, the courses have been implemented as part of offers for students at the UC Limburg, University of Oslo, UCLL – University of Applied Sciences and the City of Aarhus.
